Package: base-installer Version: 1.24 Severity: serious In commit r29833 the value of link_in_boot was changed from false to true for i386 and amd64. This change make lilo-installer fail as lilo.conf is configured to expect symlinks for the kernel and initrd in / (if boot is not a separate partition).
The changelog entry for this change (release 1.24) is:
* Turn link_in_boot on for both i386 and amd64. They should be the same,
and Kamion points out turning it off for amd64 is a regression.
