Hi, I just looked at adopting uuagc. For that, I upgraded uulib (no problem) and tried to build the newest uuagc package on hackage. It failed at this point:
[18 of 45] Compiling RhsCheck ( src/RhsCheck.hs, dist-ghc/build/uuagc/uuagc-tmp/RhsCheck.o ) src/RhsCheck.hs:29:67: Couldn't match expected type `[Fixity]' with actual type `Maybe [Fixity]' In the `fixities' field of a record In the expression: defaultParseMode {parseFilename = file pos, ignoreLanguagePragmas = False, extensions = exts, ignoreLinePragmas = False, fixities = bf} In an equation for `mode': mode = defaultParseMode {parseFilename = file pos, ignoreLanguagePragmas = False, extensions = exts, ignoreLinePragmas = False, fixities = bf} make: *** [build-ghc-stamp] Fehler 1 which, if I read http://www.mail-archive.com/haskell-cafe@haskell.org/msg90219.html correctly, means that uuagc requires the latest haskell-src-exts to build. Therefore I propose to update that and look at uuagc after we have migrated the current packages to wheezy. The packaging in Darcs is incomplete, e.g. the binaries actually need tobe installed.
