I can't install through dpkg, terminal trace follows :

Glad to hear this, I'm closing the bug :)

I'm sorry I can't help you much. Just a suggestion: make sure you
have /usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/, and check whether there are symlinks
through that path. I never saw a package installation failing like that, so
that's just an hypothesis.
