As a matter of fact I had been considering starting this process myself.
As I am not a debian maintainer myself (family issues interrupted my
application process) I have had some difficulty organizing uploads to
the archive.  Given the inherent limitations of the program due to it's
extremely specialized original purpose I would recommend just removing
it.
