I think that's open for debate. Plus, unless you upload directly to testing you're going to get a few unrelated changes anyhow. I held back changes I felt were more likely to introduce regressions for uploads to experimental, but nobody ever bothered sponsoring them. I do differentiate between changes I eventually would want to see in testing and those I feel are yet a bit too early or potentially disruptive. As the maintainer I definitely do not want to support all the old quirky stuff when I can have a proper fix. Removing the calls to MAKEDEV is IMHO and current understanding the proper fix. I absolutely do *not* want to have to support calls to MAKEDEV in squeeze when it's really not isdnutils' business. As such, my position remains for the moment unchanged. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
