Package: perdition Version: 1.17.1-2+lenny2 Severity: serious
I just upgraded to the latest lenny perdition package. The upgrade resulted in the /etc/perdition/popmap.*.db files being removed and not regenerated. It seems that I was upgrading from 1.17.1-2. I suspect this could be the result of the fix for bug #595432. I'm not sure if it is a bug in the old package or a bug in the new package version but the new packages should gracefully upgrade from the old, irrespective of which one is 'wrong'. This resulted in loss of service while the problem was debugged and corrected so I consider it a serious problem.
