I'm surprised to see "maintainer is absent" messages on this bug; it's
true I haven't been checking this package's status in Debian, but IIRC
the mail saying that the package has been removed from testing is the
first Debian-related mail I've received about this package in a long
time, and so I've only just discovered that bugs have recently been
filed against it.
If anyone has any tips on how to reliably reproduce this bug, I could
work on it over the Christmas period.
