Package: puredata Version: 0.42.6-1+b1 Severity: serious Justification: unusable X-Debbugs-CC: Hans-Christoph Steiner <[email protected]>
The puredata binary seems to be compiled with an incorrect prefix and as
a result it is unusable.
p...@chianamo:~$ puredata
tcl: /usr/lib/pd/bin/bin/pd.tk: can't open script
^CPd: signal 2
p...@chianamo:~$ file /usr/lib/pd/bin/bin/pd.tk
/usr/lib/pd/bin/bin/pd.tk: ERROR: cannot open `/usr/lib/pd/bin/bin/pd.tk' (No
such file or directory)
p...@chianamo:~$ file /usr/lib/pd/bin/pd.tk
/usr/lib/pd/bin/pd.tk: a /usr/bin/wish script text executable
When I run the correct script manually I get the GUI to come up fine:
p...@chianamo:~$ /usr/lib/pd/bin/pd.tk
setting pd_guidir to '.'
But every almost every item in the GUI (including quit) gives a dialog
with this in it:
Error: invalid command name "pd"
invalid command name "pd"
invalid command name "pd"
while executing
"pd {pd verifyquit;}"
(procedure "menu_quit" line 1)
invoked from within
"menu_quit"
(command for "WM_DELETE_WINDOW" window manager protocol)
As a result, puredata is completely unusable in squeeze.
