I am a newbie debian user, that some times play (or try) to compile the kernel and when i saw this bug, i tried some times to build a pkg based in the vanilla 2.6.32.8. As i have a macbook v2, with gpu Intel 945GM, i saw many errors in the X and not understand why?!... Looking the changelog, i saw some bugs about the i915 driver (apg, drm, etc), present in the diff, but not in the vanilla code. So, my question is if are bugs in kernel, why this patches aren't present in the next vanilla pkg at kernel.org? Please, i ask because i really wish to understand if we have some problem @ kernel.org. Best regards and congratulations by this big job!
