Moving the folder /var/spool/openoffice/uno_packages/cache/registry/com.sun.star.comp.deployment.component.PackageRegistryBackend/ out of the way let's Openoffice start without crashing.
Going to the extension manager shows some extensions with unknown status: mailmerge.py postgresql-sdbc-0.7.6.zip Sun Report builder. My other installed packages report no problem: LanguageTool Nederlands thesaurus Nederlandstalige spellingcontrole... svgimport Actually I use postgresql a lot. Reinstalled the broken extensions with synaptics, no complaints. postgresql-sdbc works fine again. Seems I am up and running again, thanks. Hope not to many users will face this problem.
