Hello, I would just like to add that I am continuing the development of a better NMU-patch. At the moment I have incorporated 'ucf' in order to update the configuration file '/etc/iog.cfg' properly. The outcome is truly pleasing.
I have not yet finalized the best method to make a call to 'debconf' in order that the old statistic files be orderly migrated to a new directory for the updated package.
