No, not really. I was just grasping at straws trying to think what could
vary among distributions if they are all using the same source code. I
guess almost anything non-deterministic *might* show in different
distributions. On the other hand, one of my machines seems to have
"mended" itself - at least it worked on a single test 2 days ago - so
that might fit again with some non determinism around timing.
Anyhow, I wasting time because this sort of speculation isn't likely to
help find the bug....
