Thanks for reporting bug!
Can you please try with latest xosview, I updated today? (Well, it has
no change related to bug, but still..)
I have almost same system (amd64) and it is working fine. 7x13bold
font is defined in /etc/X11/app-defaults/XOsview setting.
Also, are you in have Desktop, try it with Debian or
Applications-->System Tools-->Xosview menu too.
