Package: nvidia-glx-legacy-96xx Version: 96.43.07-2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Trying to upgrade to kde4, nvidia-glx-legacy-96xx had to be removed because it conflicts with the xorg stack. This seems to be the same problem as: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/308410 Incidentally, there is also a new upstream version available: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_x86_96.43.11.html which I installed. So far, and apart from plasma crashing on me a couple of times, it seems to coexist with the latest xorg stack and kde4 without any blocker issues. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.utf8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages nvidia-glx-legacy-96xx depends on: ii libc6 2.9-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 7.4-2 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libx11-6 2:1.2.1-1 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar pn nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx-96. <none> (no description available) ii x11-common 1:7.4+1 X Window System (X.Org) infrastruc nvidia-glx-legacy-96xx recommends no packages.
