lxterminal does not fulfill the requirements for a program providing
x-terminal-emulator.
1. It lacks a -T option.
2. Its -e command line option is not compatible to that of xterm. Example:
$ xterm -e sleep 5
displays a window for five seconds and exits.
$ lxterminal -e sleep 5
Usage:
lxterminal [Options...] - LXTerminal is a terimnal emulator
Options:
-e, --command=STRING Execute the argument to this option inside
the terminal
--working-directory=DIRECTOR Set the terminal's working directory
Obviously, lxterminal's -e options just takes one argument.
