forwarded to the upstream author on Feb 25. Got a reply referencing the origin
of the license:
PIL's license is the one used by Python up and until version 1.5.2.
It's one of the original OSI-approved licenses; the OSI calls it
"Historical Permission Notice and Disclaimer":
http://www.opensource.org/licenses/historical.php
please clarify if this OSI license is DFSG compliant. At least it was at a time
when python-1.5.2 was in the archive.
