Package: gkrellmd Version: 2.3.1-7 Severity: serious Justification: policy violation
gkrellmd doesn't start even with a manual /etc/init.d/gkrellmd start after install is reported to be successful. Running gkrellmd manually once with gkrellmd fixes this. It is likely that /var/run/gkrellmd.pid is not being created and this is what causes the failure, but I could be wrong about that. In any event it looks like a necessary file is missing, which is a policy violation. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gkrellmd depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.7-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.6-1 The GLib library of C routines gkrellmd recommends no packages. gkrellmd suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
