After discussing with Pierre, it seems that #479952 (blocker of this bug) will not be fixed unless some porters move theirs asses and hunt him down, which isn't very likely to happen before Lenny got released, adding that this one has only important severity. Pierre does not want to drop build tests like I proposed, which I understand. Adding that tokyocabinet thread support is not used by any Debian application, the fact that the tests fail is not critical to us.
