Package: darkstat Version: 3.0.708-1 Severity: grave Justification: causes non-serious data loss
When darkstat is restarted using /etc/init.d/darkstat the file /var/lib/darkstat.db is replaced with a new one. This may cause data loss to the user on every system reload or manual restart. The problem here is that there is a workaround at /etc/init.d/darkstat that is actually wrong, since misuse --import/--export options. I'm filling this bug to document the issue and also I'm planning to ask a freeze exception for lenny. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_SV.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_SV.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages darkstat depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.23 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.7-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libpcap0.8 0.9.8-5 system interface for user-level pa ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime darkstat recommends no packages. darkstat suggests no packages. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
