I expected as much. However, the segmentation fault in the daemon is much more of a problem. /etc/init.d/ggzd: line 21: 22386 Segmentation fault > We will look > into how to convey the semantics of "optional" configuration files into the > API of libggz upstream. > > > libdb4.6 vs libdb4.3 - Hmmm. > > This is what has been identified as a problem before, but so far nobody has > stepped up to upload fixed packages which tighten the build dependencies or > alternatively backport the M4 macros for libdb detection which were fixed in > trunk. > > See my comments on bug #490420. At least with what I've done, trying to tighten the build-deps is not a fix for ggzd - it might help the build problem (I haven't tested on i386, only amd64) but it does not fix the installation problem (which I am now fairly sure is related). If I could tighten the build-deps *and* allow the package to install without a segmentation fault, I would upload the fix. Right now, I can't see why ggzd is failing. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/
