Package: pvpgn Version: 1.6.4+20040826-1 Followup-For: Bug #257619 Hi,
I looked into it, and the start-stop-daemon doesn't stop the daemon since there isn ot pid file (altough refered from the command). Removing this command option makes start-stop-daemon to use killall instead of kill. This of course works just fine and stop the daemon. This is a bit of a hack, since making bnetd generate a pid file will be smarter. But that's for upstream to check. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-686-smp Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages pvpgn depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4 compression library - runtime pvpgn recommends no packages.
