Can you please check if this is related to #476722 (ie. you have more than one screen attached, try to switch the secondary off via xrandr). Also, IIRC I've seen something similar happening some time ago when using compiz. If you have it (or something similar, like beryl) running, can you please switching it off and using a simpler wm? Moreover, I see you're trying to record a fixed area of the screen. Does the corruption happen independently of any width and height? Can you please try to record a full-screen long-enough session, and see if it fine? Finally, please try to combine previous hints, and report if anything changes. This is probably related to a particular configuration, but before downgrading I'd like to inspect it more deeply.
