Package: gnome-lokkit
Version: 0.50.22-7.1
Severity: seriuos
The package do not build in Debian/Sid at the moment, because it
build-depend on libgnome-dev which is not installable:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libgnome-dev: Depends: libgnomeui32 (= 1.4.2-37) but it is not
going to be installed
Depends: libgnomesupport0 but it is not going to be
installed
Depends: libgnome32 (= 1.4.2-37) but it is not going
to be installed
Depends: libgnorba-dev (= 1.4.2-37) but it is not
going to be installed
E: Broken packages
Trying to use libgnome2-dev instead only result in a build problem:
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking for gnome-config... no
checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/lib... not found
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is
generated by gnome-libs install
make: *** [configure-stamp] Error 1
debuild: fatal error at line 1264:
debian/rules build failed
This make me suspect the program need to be ported to a new Gnome API
to build in Sid.
Happy hacking,

This has already been done, the binaries are even in testing now.

This is a spurious bug; the build-dependency was only uninstallable because
of the binNMU issue mentioned above.

It looks like this bug should be raised to severity: serious, in which case
it would be grounds for removal from testing.

But this looks to me like a reason to remove the package from unstable, not
from testing.
