Package: nvidia-kernel-source Version: 169.12-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
After upgrading the nvidia-kernel-source package, then de-tarring it, I compiled it, it gave me a .deb file stamped 169.12, I installed it straight forward with dpkg, then I could upgrade nvidia-glx. I restarted the X server, and it failed showing me this error: "API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module has version 169.09, but the NVIDIA driver component has version 169.12" the same problem still occurs even doing these # rmmod nvidia # modprobe nvidia and even when restarting the whole system. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages nvidia-kernel-source depends on: ii debhelper 6.0.11 helper programs for debian/rules ii dpatch 2.0.29 patch maintenance system for Debia ii make 3.81-4 The GNU version of the "make" util ii sed 4.1.5-6 The GNU sed stream editor Versions of packages nvidia-kernel-source recommends: ii devscripts 2.10.23 scripts to make the life of a Debi ii kernel-package 11.001-0.1 A utility for building Linux kerne ii nvidia-glx 169.12-1 NVIDIA binary Xorg driver -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
