Yes and no. update-alternatives is fixed now but this bug is not about a bug in update-alternatives. It's not even a bug in OpenMPI. I do not want to sound ignorant, but what Ondrej expects is simply not the way MPI works in Debian. Maybe writing up some documentation would be useful. I'll invest some time to that. IMHO the bug can be closed but I'd like to wait for Ondrej's feedback. Best regards Manuel
