Our plan is to support two versions of Zope in stable, one from the 2.x serie and one for the 3.x serie. To make it clear, zope2.10 and zope3 are in fact two different frameworks, and applications written for the former won't run in the latter (eg. Plone runs on zope 2.10 and not on zope 3). Actually, we still need zope2.9 in the archive because there are packages (eg. zenoss, sitting in the new queue) which are not compatible with zope2.10. We are working with upstream to solve the issues and we'll make sure that lenny will release with just one version of the zope2.x serie and one from the zope3 serie. The biggest problem right now is that none of the zope versions run with python2.5. I've started digging into the problem, but I don't know when this issue will be solved. I plan to write an announce for debian-devel-announce with our goals, plans and expectations for the lenny release.
