I came across strongswan looking for RC bugs to fix as part of my NM process. While investigating bug #442880 and bug #431874 I noticed that openswan ships /etc/ipsec.conf and /etc/ipsec.secrets as conffiles, which the postinst script then modifies. The DPM forbids this, because "[t]hese two styles of configuration file handling must not be mixed, for that way lies madness: dpkg will ask about overwriting the file every time the package is upgraded." - -- Magnus Holmgren [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFG7vt6k7mRNn1h4+YRAkKjAKCIVfK0va8mP+Sp4h+219wC48acBQCfQKT4 mL9RA6GZ0PGNPabU6CjkMUM= =MAVP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
