Indeed, ebay has a pretty much instable API - it not even an API..
However, jbidwatcher's author is very responsive to this.
In particular, have you tried the "check for update" option in "File" menu.
normally launched upon startup, this function mays also update some
definitions when the change in ebay's API is recoverable..

I'm downgrading the bug until you can confirm that this does not work for you.
It worked for me as far as I can test..
