hi,

while doing an archive wide package rebuild your package failed to build from
source for the following reason:

 > checking for gmsgfmt... /usr/bin/msgfmt
 > checking for xgettext... /usr/bin/xgettext
 > checking for catalogs to be installed... en_AU es_ES fr
 > checking for i486-linux-gnu-gcc... (cached) i486-linux-gnu-gcc
 > checking whether we are using the GNU C compiler... (cached) yes
 > checking whether i486-linux-gnu-gcc accepts -g... (cached) yes
 > checking for i486-linux-gnu-gcc option to accept ISO C89... (cached) none
 > needed
 > checking dependency style of i486-linux-gnu-gcc... (cached) gcc3
 > checking for i486-linux-gnu-pkg-config... no
 > checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
 > checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
 > checking for PURPLE... configure: error: Package requirements (purple) were
 > not met:
 >
 > No package 'purple' found
 >
 > Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
 > installed software in a non-standard prefix.
 >
 > Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PURPLE_CFLAGS
 > and PURPLE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
 > See the pkg-config man page for more details.

 > make: *** [config.status] Error 1
