Alright. By the way, you may want to use “debuild”.

Well, I can't reproduce it, by using a chroot, installing git-core, the
B-D of git-core, and building it with:
  “dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -us -uc -b”

Since it builds fine in a chroot environment (and on buildds), I'm
lowering the severity to important.
