FWIW, it was brought to my attention on debian-alpha that there really was a
1.0_pre20040408 tarball available at
<http://aboot.sourceforge.net/tarballs/>, and there was no need for me to
have rolled my own; so I've rebuilt the source package using the pristine
upstream tarball and reuploaded it to people.d.o.  (The only difference
between the tarballs was a few extra .cvsignore files which will now be part
of the Debian diff, oh well. :)

Are you aware of the thread on debian-alpha starting at
<http://lists.debian.org/debian-alpha/2007/08/msg00008.html>?  This was
part of the impetus for my looking into aboot right now; we should probably
have that patch included in unstable soon, since 2.6.23 is just around the
corner.  I need to test the current aboot build on my system first though,
before I go patching it further.
