FWIW, it was brought to my attention on debian-alpha that there really was a 1.0_pre20040408 tarball available at <http://aboot.sourceforge.net/tarballs/>, and there was no need for me to have rolled my own; so I've rebuilt the source package using the pristine upstream tarball and reuploaded it to people.d.o. (The only difference between the tarballs was a few extra .cvsignore files which will now be part of the Debian diff, oh well. :) > > > [1] Last time I checked, upstream no longer responded, but I still > > > have access to the sf repository, so including fixes upstream > > > could be possible :-)) > > It doesn't look like you're a project admin, though, so you can't grant > > anyone else access. Sounds good. Are you aware of the thread on debian-alpha starting at <http://lists.debian.org/debian-alpha/2007/08/msg00008.html>? This was part of the impetus for my looking into aboot right now; we should probably have that patch included in unstable soon, since 2.6.23 is just around the corner. I need to test the current aboot build on my system first though, before I go patching it further.
