did not happen with previous versions of fontforge which was updated very recently; tried this which worked: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/freefont/ttf-freefont-20060501cvs$ cd sfd/ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/freefont/ttf-freefont-20060501cvs/sfd$ ../debian/scripts/ConvertFont ../sfd/FreeSansBoldOblique.sfd Copyright (c) 2000-2007 by George Williams. Executable based on sources from 13:10 1-May-2007. Converting FreeSansBoldOblique.ttf will dig to see what happens. regards, Davide
