Hi, The Dazuko project provides a kernel module. The current release version of Dazuko (and all previous release versions) do not work correctly with the Linux kernel that Debian now ships. This is because Dazuko uses the kernel LSM hooks, but Debian compiles the "Capability" module statically in the kernel. (The capability module forbids other LSM modules from loading.) A completely new version of Dazuko is currently being developed. The new version works as a stackable filesytem rather than using LSM. This would allow Dazuko to once again work with the Debian kernel. But this new version is not yet available in a stable form and it may be many months before it is. In my opinion, this is enough reason to remove Dazuko from the Debian project. I (as maintainer of the Dazuko project) would hope that Dazuko may someday rejoin Debian once it is successfully working as a stackable filesystem. (Optimally, Dazuko would join the mainline kernel development, which may allow it to later automatically become a part of Debian.)
