The filename should be suitable for saving into the current directory. If this is not a bug in the newer version of URI::URL, then a simple fix is to add the following line at line number 588 $lf_name =~ s/^\///; -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB) Versions of packages w3mir depends on: ii libwww-perl 5.803-4 WWW client/server library for Perl ii perl [libmime-base64-perl] 5.8.4-8 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction -- no debconf information --===============1022769470== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="w3mir-fix" --- /usr/bin/w3mir 2003-08-20 09:40:35.000000000 +0100 +++ w3mir 2005-04-22 14:22:00.000000000 +0100 @@ -585,6 +585,7 @@ # Derive a filename from the url, the filename contains no URL-quoting my($lf_name) = (url "file:$lf_url")->unix_path; + $lf_name =~ s/^\///; # Make all intermediate directories &mkdir($lf_name) if $s==0; --===============1022769470==-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 305850-close) by bugs.debian.org; 24 Apr 2005 15:49:57 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Apr 24 08:49:56 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DPjMq-00014y-00; Sun, 24 Apr 2005 08:49:56 -0700 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DPj5z-0000SM-00; Sun, 24 Apr 2005 11:32:31 -0400 From: Frank Lichtenheld <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.55 $ Subject: Bug#305850: fixed in w3mir 1:1.0.10-4 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sun, 24 Apr 2005 11:32:31 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Score: 2 Source: w3mir Source-Version: 1:1.0.10-4 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of w3mir, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: w3mir_1.0.10-4.diff.gz to pool/main/w/w3mir/w3mir_1.0.10-4.diff.gz w3mir_1.0.10-4.dsc to pool/main/w/w3mir/w3mir_1.0.10-4.dsc w3mir_1.0.10-4_all.deb to pool/main/w/w3mir/w3mir_1.0.10-4_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
