Come on, sometimes I think we should switch of this severity features.
Everybody seems to think the package is unusable for everybody just
because it doesn't fit to his use.

Which is because upstream decided to integrate slappasswd with slapd.
And slapd has its own package so the link points to nowhere. Simple
solution: install slapd. Which you don't want probably :)

Normally slappasswd is not supposed to be used by user tools and it is
only shipped in the ldap-utils package by accident since it really
belongs to slapd. 

I'll talk to the maintainer of smbldap-tools and try to find a sane
solution.
