tags + unreproducible,moreinfo thanks Both my ppc testing as well as my amd64 unstable box do not have mpg321 with the setuid bit set. Since this is also not present on Justins three machines, this seems likly to be a local problem on the machine of the submitter.
Chris: How did you learn about this problem? Did you fiddle with
mpg321 (rebuilding, patching, ...)? I don't think this is the problem,
but if you reboot into a Debian supplied kernel and re-install mpg321
(--purge remove then install), is it still suid?
