Package: smarteiffel
Version: 1.1-5
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

For some reason, the only file in /usr/lib/smarteiffel/bin with the
execute bit set is the selib2html script:

$ ls -l /usr/lib/smarteiffel/bin
total 4768
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 116556 2005-02-08 11:10 ace_check
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 717804 2005-02-08 11:10 class_check
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 87852 2005-02-08 11:10 clean
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 128876 2005-02-08 11:10 compile
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1187500 2005-02-08 11:10 compile_to_c
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 933644 2005-02-08 11:10 compile_to_jvm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 120620 2005-02-08 11:10 finder
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 691020 2005-02-08 11:10 pretty
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 107788 2005-02-08 11:10 print_jvm_class
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 4816 2005-02-08 11:10 selib2html*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 721932 2005-02-08 11:10 short

This obviously causes all sorts of problems; for one thing, the
generated documentation in /usr/share/doc/smarteiffel/html/base ends
up devoid of content (though selib2html blithely pretends nothing went
wrong).

I suspect it also accounts for the the lack of computed dependencies
on shared libraries.
