| Why? It's definitely feasible to compile gaim plugins without
| pkg-config installed, and it should be possible to write a gaim plugin
| without using GTK.
gtk I can agree to, but as gaim provides a .pc file, it seems like
that is the supported way to get such information as the path to
gaim's include files and any secondary dependencies of gaim (glib-2.0
in this case).
