Hi Bernhard, I performed the commands you listed and also I have included a fresh listing of the ~/.xsession-errors file. The file is called test_results and was created as a text file.
The xsession-errors file indicates the problem lies
with the package locales. I checked my listing of
installed files and version 2.3.2.ds1-2 of locales is
installed.
