Martin,

Currently, NERD_commenter expects to be able to write its documentation
out to disk when first loaded. This is less than ideal when
distributing the script as part of a package for a Linux distribution,
since the script is installed under a directory not normally writeable
by users.

From what I can tell, the reason the script does this is to
automatically generate some values in the documentation. Would it be
possible to do this on your end and then ship a zip file of the
documentation and script together?

James
