Package: gdm3 Version: 3.0.4-4 Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing Architecture: x86_64
Although the bug has been reported more than one year ago, I can confirm this issue occuring these days. After updating my system more than one week ago, typing a password in gdm3 login-screen was not possible. When I tried to do so, gdm3 reloaded and only username was visible. So I switched to terminal and removed gdm3. The following packages will be REMOVED: gdm3* gnome* gnome-core* After that I installed gdm3 again. The following extra packages will be installed: at-spi libgail-common Doing autoremove resulted in something like this: The following packages are no longer needed and will be removed gnome-orca libatk-adaptor To make sure all dependencies would be resolved, I had to install the meta-package 'gnome' manually. After this procedure gdm3 works fine again. I guess this is a packaging problem, too. I hope this helps to get this issue reproduced, or'll help other users having the same problem fix it. Thx for your time bigby ___________________________________________________________ Ihr WEB.DE Postfach immer dabei: die kostenlose WEB.DE Mail App für iPhone und Android. https://produkte.web.de/freemail_mobile_startseite/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
