Alan Swanson, the upstream wmfire author, said the following about this
feature request, in a personal email sent today:
I don't think any other dock apps do this either do they? They're
all pretty much hard coded at 64x64 in size. I'm not going to be
writing support for this and I don't think there is a way to detect
it automatically anyway.
The bug reporter could compile a specific version for a smaller size;
* Reduce the size of the pixmap - decrease the XMAX and YMAX values.
* Kill the transparent border - in main() change the "4, 4" in both
gdk_draw_rgb_image calls to "0, 0".
* For either/both above changes - the attr.width, attr.height,
sizehints.width and sizehints.height in make_wmfire_dockapp()
would need to be corrected.
As such I am marking this as wontfix, and am demoting its severity to
wishlist.
