Package: cron
Version: 3.0pl1-121
Severity: normal

I’m getting cron mails such as:

----- cutting here may damage your screen surface -----
/etc/cron.daily/standard:

Some local file systems lack a lost+found directory. This means if the
file system is damaged and needs to be repaired, fsck will not have
anywhere to put stray files for recovery. You should consider creating
a lost+found directory with mklost+found(8).

The following lost+found directories were not available:
\n/var/cache/pbuilder/build/cow.31312/root/lost+found
----- cutting here may damage your screen surface -----

However (the broken ‘\n’ aside), that is a bind mount of /root which
is not on a separate filesystem. Please change the lost+found search
functionality to take only real filesystem mountpoints with types
that suggest the use of a preallocated lost+found directory, or, by
your taste, drop the check entirely. As it is now, it creates more
confusion than help.
