The Debian Python policy is to build Python modules for all supported Python
versions. This is non-trivial in an Autotools package, so I didn't think it
was appropriate for an NMU. See python-dbus for an example (which might not
be perfect, but it seems to work), or ask around in the Python team(s) for
more exemplary examples.
