Package: vim-gtk Version: 2:7.3.429-2 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
If I use split windows and netrw's :E file browser, it sometimes sets buffers containing files as readonly nonmodifiable and changes which window is focused. To reproduce: $ vim -u NORC -U NORC -N C-w v :E <scroll to a file (e.g. .vimrc), open it by pressing Enter> C-w w :E At this point, the focus changes to the first window (containing the opened file), that buffer is set readonly nonmodifiable, and the buffer is scrolled to the end. The netrw buffer *does* open as normal. This also triggers sometimes when I change what directory netrw is visiting. I haven't figured out exactly the rules for what triggers the problem, but the above is an easy way to trigger the bug. -- Package-specific info: --- real paths of main Vim binaries --- /usr/bin/vi is /usr/bin/vim.gtk /usr/bin/vim is /usr/bin/vim.gtk /usr/bin/gvim is /usr/bin/vim.gtk -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages vim-gtk depends on: ii libacl1 2.2.51-5 ii libc6 2.13-27 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.24.1-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.30.2-6 ii libgpm2 1.20.4-4 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.10-1 ii libice6 2:1.0.7-2 ii liblua5.1-0 5.1.4-12 ii libpango1.0-0 1.29.4-2 ii libperl5.14 5.14.2-7 ii libpython2.7 2.7.2-13 ii libruby1.8 1.8.7.352-2 ii libselinux1 2.1.0-4.1 ii libsm6 2:1.2.0-2 ii libtinfo5 5.9-4 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.4-4 ii libxt6 1:1.1.1-2 ii tcl8.5 8.5.11-1 ii vim-common 2:7.3.429-2 ii vim-gui-common 2:7.3.429-2 ii vim-runtime 2:7.3.429-2 vim-gtk recommends no packages.
