I'm not sure how to go further with xinput to see if it can help.


Could you set "Synaptics Tap  Action" to 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 and check if it
disables  click-to-tap for  you?   If this  does  not work,  try to  set
"Synaptics Click Action"  to 0,0,0,0 too. Those values  are explained in
synaptics(4).


The first suggestion does work.
