Hi Anibal,

do you need a co-maintainer for fping?

A new upstream version has been reported three weeks ago
(http://bugs.debian.org/658230, Cc'ed) which includes all patches from
the current package -- which btw. was uploaded as NMU by me more than
two years ago.

I also know David Schweikert, the new upstream author (Cc'ed), from
the time we worked at the same university, and we're still in contact.

Today David informed me, that fping 3.1 will be released soon and will
offer to use Linux capabilities instead of setuid. (Which will likely
need some two-way packaging for the non-linux architectures in Debian.)

P.S.: I would also maintain fping alone in case you lost interest in
it.

                Regards, Axel
