Package: libmysqlclient18 Version: 5.5.17-4 Severity: normal In libmysqlclient16 from 5.1 versioned symbols were used.
MySQL 5.5 no longer uses versioned symbols, apparently as a result of the move to cmake. The libmysql.ver.in file still exists, but no longer generates the libmysql.ver file and the -Wl,version-script flag no longer gets passed to ld.
