Package: wicd Version: 1.7.1-1 Severity: normal In the GUI for the wired or wireless interfaces (both) I enable (checkmark) the DHCP hostname box (which has the system hostname beside it) and when I disconnect and reconnect the hostname has been sent to the AP.
Unfortunately when I restart I discover that the the DHCP hostname doesn't get sent, and when I look at the GUI I see that the DHCP hostname box is unchecked. It should remain checked, and continue to send the DHCP hostname even after restarting the system. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'stable-updates'), (1, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages wicd depends on: ii wicd-daemon 1.7.1-1 ii wicd-gtk [wicd-client] 1.7.1-1 wicd recommends no packages. wicd suggests no packages.
