unlike other foo-source packages, sl-modem-source needs the kernel tree not only configured, but it also needs the kernel to have been successfully built before. Otherwise, scripts/mod/modpost does not seem to exist and the package build fails. Please document this in README.Debian or find a work-around which allows sl-modem-modules to be built _before_ the kernel.
